IMPORTANT: All patients under the age of 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at the consultation visit. In an effort to devote our full attention to patient treatment, we ask that patients make childcare arrangements prior to all appointments. If you are unable to find child care, our patient care coordinator can reschedule your appointment to a more convenient time.
All of our patients are asked to have a consultation visit. This appointment will consist of a thorough examination, review of x-rays, and an explanation of your diagnosis and treatment options.
The staff will schedule the surgical appointment at the end of the consultation in most cases within seven days. All patients under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian to the consultation and surgical appointments. Please alert the staff if there is a medical condition that may be of concern prior to surgery (i.e. diabetes, high blood pressure, artificial heart valves and joints, rheumatic fever, etc.) or if there are any medications you are taking, such as heart medications, aspirin, or anticoagulant therapy.
Please assist us by providing the following information at the time of your consultation:
- Referral slip
- Panoramic x-ray
- Dental and medical insurance cards
- A list of medications you are currently taking
X-Rays
Radiographs can be e-mailed from the patient's dental provider to www.carolinaoral.com, hand carried by the patient or taken, in the office, prior to the consultation appointment.
